Long before they enter the workforce, young people’s career trajectories are often shaped by race, income, school quality, and access to professional networks. On-Ramps programs remove these structural barriers for over 300 high school and college students each year, connecting them to meaningful STEM opportunities. Students as early as 9th grade engage in skills training, gaining exposure to potential opportunities. In 11th grade, they apply to be matched and placed in paid internship programs at technology, cybersecurity, data, and engineering companies. Throughout their internships, On-Ramps staff and volunteers check in and host workshops on resume and interview preparation, workplace professionalism, and emerging technologies. On-Ramps sees 95–98% of interns complete their placements, and many continue receiving job placement support as alumni. On-Ramps is a pipeline for economic mobility you can invest in.
