General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Currently, we offer both short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities. For short-term opportunities, we are looking for volunteers to serve in the kitchen (meal prep, serving, and cleaning up) and monitor the nurses' station by answering phones, assisting patients to make phone calls, and buzzing people into the building. We also have opportunities for volunteers to lead patient activities. During the holidays, we offer opportunities to help with gift-wrapping and other preparations. Individuals can sign up to serve either on an as-needed basis or on a recurring weekly or bi-weekly schedule.

    For groups, we offer the opportunity to prepare and serve a meal on a recurring basis or participate in cleaning and maintenance issues at both Christ House and our other building, Kairos.
