General Information

• Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: We offer weekly volunteer opportunities, including litter cleanups, invasive plant removals, and occasional native plantings. We also train specialized volunteers including Stream Team Leaders and Weed Warriors.
  
  Stream Team Leaders host cleanups and conservation activities, conduct outreach, and otherwise help to educate and promote the broader Rock Creek community around stewardship best practices.
  
  Weed Warriors are specialized volunteers who are granted permits through the National Park Service to remove invasive plants in designated areas of Rock Creek Park. Rock Creek Conservancy provides Weed Warriors the training, tools, and support they need to become stewards of a specific patch of the park.
• Types of Volunteers Needed: individual/adult; individual/high school; families with children; adult groups of less than 5; adult groups of 6 or more, including corporate teams
• Hours Needed: business hours during the week; daytime on the weekend
