Since 1975, LCAC has served southeastern Fairfax County, helping people in financial crisis remain safely housed, fed, and on the path to stability. Each week, food is distributed to 100–200 families and seniors, with volunteers delivering groceries directly to the most vulnerable households. Individual case management and classes in computers, ESL, nutrition, budgeting, and many other workshops help adults strengthen their employability and financial management. Meanwhile, LCAC runs programs for children such as a birthday store, holiday and spring gifts, writing classes (including free snacks), and more. And from emergency rent and utilities, to furniture, clothing, and school supplies, LCAC provides extra support when needed. Powered by more than 500 volunteers and 10 staff, LCAC reaches 3,200 people each year, many of whom are living one paycheck away from homelessness. For these families, your support is a lifeline.
