General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Bright Beginnings, Inc. welcomes the opportunity to work with volunteers on the project ideas below. The following volunteer opportunities also require a criminal background check and a negative tuberculosis verification:

    Volunteer Readers:

    It is always a joy for the children to have new faces and voices read to them during their large group and story time. Consider taking 30 minutes of your day to read an engaging story to the children.

    Classroom Assistant:

    Teachers often need a helping hand in the classroom. Volunteers may assist working with children one-on-one, cleaning up in the classroom and assisting with various administrative tasks. We ask for groups no larger than 12 to work in the classrooms at one time.

    Field Trip Sponsors:

    In addition to monthly curriculum-based field trips, volunteers may choose to sponsor an outside activity for our children and serve as chaperones and/or coordinators for the event.
  • Types of Volunteers Needed: individual/adult; adult groups of less than 5; adult groups of 6 or more, including corporate teams
  • Hours Needed: business hours during the week
