Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: YOUTH ADVOCACY: FAIR Fund seeks volunteers to work with us on a teen sexual violence prevention and intervention project in the D.C. schools and youth agencies. Volunteers work alongside FAIR Fund staff to facilitate workshops in classrooms, using FAIR Fundís model prevention curriculum on human trafficking. They also work with girls who have demonstrated both a particular need for support as well as a special passion for change through FAIR Fundís after-school art-therapy and economic empowerment program, JewelGirls.
MENTOR: FAIR Fund seeks committed volunteers to assist us in working with girls FAIR Fund serves in the JewelGirls program. Our volunteers have an opportunity to serve as a positive role model to our JewelGirls. A one-year commitment is required.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER: FAIR Fund seeks graphic design volunteers to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
DEVELOPMENT: FAIR Fund seeks volunteers to assist us in general marketing, communications, and development-related work. FAIR Fund hopes to find dedicated volunteers in our D.C. office and from home to assist in donor relations, web site and newsletter writing, marketing of our JewelGirls jewelry making program, and potentially in event planning. In addition, we seek volunteers to assist in grant research, writing, and editing.
