General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Afterschool Tutors: Help 3rd-8th grade students with homework, reading, and math support during our daily afterschool program. We are especially looking for help once a week, Monday through Thursday, for one hour between 3:30 pm and 6 pm. This is a long-term volunteer opportunity.

Community Reading Nights: Volunteers have the opportunity to read 1:1 with our students, help with homework, and see our beautiful program space. Students love practicing their reading skills with new people and expanding their vocabulary. This is a short-term experience perfect for anyone who can’t commit to weekly volunteering.

Summer Camp Volunteers: During Aspire’s six-week summer learning camp, volunteers have the option of helping students with reading and academics, as well as helping with lunch and snack time. From 9:30am-12:30pm, volunteers provide morning camp support. From 10am-11am, volunteers provide morning academic help. From 11:30am-1pm, volunteers provide lunch help. From 12:30pm-3:30pm, volunteers provide afternoon camp support. Volunteers who can come in for at least one hour a week are welcome!

Administrative Assistant: Volunteers provide a number of administrative, clerical, or research duties. This is a long-term volunteer opportunity.
